About Us
The National Treasury Employees Union represents some 150,000 workers in 33 federal government agencies, making it the largest independent non-postal federal employees union. The union specializes in representation of non-supervisory federal employees in every classification and pay level in civilian agencies. NTEU has worked for over seven decades to expand the scope of federal employee protections, rights, and benefits. NTEU is the gold standard for labor relations in the federal sector. Its negotiated labor agreements are second to none.
Chapter 105
Leadership
Jorge Llanos
Chapter President
Jorge began his federal service in 1996 with U.S. Customs. He ran for NTEU Chapter 105 President in 2013 and won that election. He was re-elected in 2016 and 2019 and is currently serving his third term as NTEU Chapter President. Jorge has been an instrumental member of the National Collective Bargaining contract negotiations among other nationally recognized negotiation committees.
Derrick Arnold
Chapter Vice President
Derrick began his federal service in 2009 with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He began serving the Chapter and members as a steward in 2016. In 2019 he served as the Area V.P. for the port of Otay Mesa and later re-elected to that position. In December of 2019 he was appointed as the acting Chapter Vice President of Chapter 105.
Alfonso Ortiz
Chapter Treasurer
Alfonso began his federal service in 2007 with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He began serving the Chapter and members as a steward in 2015. In early-2016 he was appointed as the acting Chapter Treasurer. In 2019 he was re-elected to the position of NTEU Chapter Treasurer.
Nicholas R Barrett
Chapter Secretary
Nicholas began his federal service in 2014 with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He began serving the Chapter and members as a steward in 2018. Nicholas served as steward for port of San Yisidro bringing only the best in represention to those he served. In January of 2020 he was appointed as the acting Secretary of Chapter 105.
